"An assured and lively performer, Eliana López shifts in and out of other characters in the course of her story... It’s Eliana López’s story, and it’s a funny and heartbreaking one that’s awfully well told."

                            --- Sam Hurwitt, KQED Arts

"Lopez,  skillfully grounds the issues in a charmingly frank depiction of herself as a happy, successful Venezuelan, radiant in love, confused and naive about America, a forceful equal partner in her marriage and ever more determined to save it. Working with equal polish in Spanish and English, she slips easily into a dozen sharply defined characters."

                                       ---- Robert Hurwitt, The Chronicle

It was outstanding – moving, funny, at times riveting”

                                       ---Tim Redmond, 48 Hills

““What Is the Scandal?” retroactively provides a fascinating, previously unreported angle to one of The City’s more notorious recent news stories.”

                ---Leslie Katz, San Francisco Examiner
