Demi Lovato sort of reveals she’s bisexual: ‘I’m definitely not denying’

Demi Lovato’s sexuality has been tabloid fodder for years with rumors of girl-on-girl hook ups popping up every once in a while.

Her new single “Cool for the Summer” has brought those rumors to the surface once again as some of the song’s racy lyrics – “Got a taste for the cherry, I just need to take a bite” – seem to talk about being with women.

The 23-year-old singer appeared on the British late-night talk show “Alan Carr: Chatty Man” on Friday and she was asked point-blank if the song was about lesbianism. Without actually using the word bisexual, Lovato seemed to confirm the rumors.

“I am not confirming and I’m definitely not denying,” Lovato responded. “All of my songs are based off of personal experiences. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with experimentation at all.

Carr, who is openly gay, then quipped: “I experimented once and it stuck.”

To which Lovato said: “Hey, I didn’t say that it didn’t stick, either. I didn’t say that it didn’t stick.”

The singer admitted that it is easier for a women to write a song about experimenting with other women, but it would be an uproar if a (straight) man did the same with men.

"I don't think there is anything wrong (with it)," Lovato added. "There is a confidence to a man who would say 'I've experimented with a man' and not care. I actually find that more attractive than someone saying 'No! No! That's all wrong.'"

Regardless, Lovato is not really experimenting with her love life. She is very happily dating “That ‘70s Show” actor Wilmer Valderrama, who she credits for getting her back on the track after her battle with drug and alcohol abuse.
