Latinos are practically absent in politics, technology, media, advocacy and the list goes on.
The Ecology of Leadership. Redesign your life.
According to the U.S. Census, the Latino population has become the majority in California in 2014. Yet, Latinos are practically absent in politics, technology, media, advocacy and the list goes on. Latinos are missing from having a voice at every level above the consumer level. We are missing from having an impact as a significant shift is happening in the world and our communities.
As California and the U.S. move forward, we need visionaries and entrepreneurs to generate ideas and solutions to growing poverty, health issues and education within the Latino population. California will need Latinos to lead.
For the vast majority of Latinos, our parents did not have a toolbox filled with solutions. They made due and are making due with the tools they had and have. As a result, the first and second generation of Latinos is growing up without a toolbox themselves.
There are many programs that exist that can help build a toolbox. There is one program however that brings the complexity and simplicity of nature into focus. It’s through this focus that healing, understanding, and learning begin to happen.
The Ecology of Leadership is transformation and action from the inside out. EOL encourages you to connect with nature, to connect with yourself and to connect with your environment.
At EOL, you are able to to connect in such a deep and transformative way that you have no choice to but to start the process of healing. When you heal, you begin to open up. When you open up, you start to learn. When you learn, you can begin to lead.
Personally, EOL helped me start LatinLife.com with my business partner Mario Cruz and Mauricio Mejia which launches on 10/1/14. We’ve started LatinLife.com with the mission to have a voice. A voice that expresses our passion for Latino events, entertainment, learning and empowerment. A voice for the new Latino.
